Energy and Climate Economics
: Overview and News
Welcome to the Professorship for Energy and Climate Economics
The Energy and Climate Economics group is led by Professor Lint Barrage.
The research is focused on the macroeconomic and social consequences of ecological developments and environmental policy decisions. The group investigates how environmental processes and policies affect macroeconomic outcomes and human welfare. It brings a multi-methodological approach to this research agenda, combining tools from different fields in order to leverage new data, empirics, and theoretical advancements. Examples of questions and approaches in the group's work include: fiscal costs of climate change, flood risks and housing markets, shale gas boom and energy technology.
